A catalogue of a genuine capital collection of Italian, French, Flemish and Dutch pictures, the property of the Late Francis Bernard, Esq; dec. Brought from his seat at Stanstead in Essex, To which, by permission, are added the valuable collection of His Excellency M[o]ns. Cavalli, late minister from Venice, consisting of the works of the following great masters in fine preservation, viz. Raphael, Parmigiano, Titian, P. Veronese, Bassan, Tintoret, O. Palma, L. da Vinci, Carracci, V. Castelli, Lucatelli, Canaletti, Borgognione, Claude, N. Poussin, Watteau, Rubens, Van Dyck, Teniers, Van Uden, P. Neefs, Quintus Matzius, W. Van de Velde, Van Harp, Cuyp, Vanderneer, Vangoyen, Polenberg, Wyck, Moucheron, P. Panini, Barrett, &c. Particularly, a most capital picture by D. Teniers of peasants shooting at a mark; diogenes in search after an honest man, by Jordaens; Cupids sporting at the Shrine of Venus, by Titian; a capital landscape by Claude; and a variety a cabinet pictures of the first class by the most favorite masters. Which will be sold by auction, by Mess. Christie and Ansell, at their great room, next Cumberland House, Pall Mall, on Friday the 30th of May, 1783, and the following day. To be publickly viewed on Wednesday and Thursday preceding, and to the sale, which will begin each day at twelve o'Clock. Catalogues may be had as above.
